Meet Madison

Madison is a 23-year-old, Mexican-American artist exploring the inner workings of her mind through her environment. Madison has always been drawn to nature as a child. Going outside was her safe space when attempting to escape the chaos around her. She always lived inside her head and expressed her internal world through her art.

Where Madison grew up in Ellicott City, Maryland she was exposed to nature but it was limited compared to where she lives now. While natural motifs were a recurring theme in her work from a young age, she fully began to explore the motivation behind those depictions when she moved to the mountains of North Georgia in 2019. This new environment amplified Madison’s awareness of the importance of the natural world, beginning her search for the natural self.

Madison Graduated with her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts in Two-Dimensional Design from Piedmont University in May of 2023. She is now continuing her research to deepen her understanding of humans' intrinsic connection to the natural world to bridge the gap between humanity and nature.
